The record for performing rappelling from the highest point of a waterfall was set by Ozas Pandey (born on October 12, 2014) of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. He performed rappelling from the highest point (43 metres; 141 feet) of Bhurmuni waterfall on May 19, 2024 (under the guidance of his father), at the age of 9 years, 7 months and 7 days.
