The record for conducting an expedition to Mt. Gorichen with the maximum number of summiteers was set by the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) of Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, under the leadership of Major Devendra Bhanwariya (born on October 10, 1993) of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. A team of 25 summiteers successfully scaled Mt. Gorichen (at an altitude of 6,488 metres), located in Arunachal Pradesh, on September 19, 2024.
